Dr. Alicia D. Zalka

Dr. Zalka is a Clinical Attending at the Yale University Department of Dermatology, and on staff at Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital. A member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Medical Association, and the Connecticut State Medical Society, she also served as the immediate past president of the Connecticut State Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery Society.

She has been interviewed on issues pertaining to skin health by many national publications and news outlets including: Family Circle, Glamour, The New York Daily News, Associated Press, and on ABC News.

She frequently lectures and leads workshops on topics pertaining to skin health, including to teens regarding the dangers of tanning beds. The tanning bed issue is one of her top priorities and she was responsible for implementing the CT Tanning Bill which requires those under age 16 to have parental permission to use tanning beds.

Her dermatologic specialties include but are not limited to: treating acne, treating skin cancer, and performing cosmetic treatments such as Botox, collagen and sclerotherapy (leg vein treatments). Dr. Zalka is also specially trained in the use of lasers for hair removal and for treatment of blood vessels and rosacea. She is fluent in Spanish. 

Dr. Jeffrey Knispel
  

Dr. Knispel is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, as well as a member of the Connecticut Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery Society, the New England Dermatologic Society, the Fairfield County Medical Association, and the Connecticut State Medical Society. Currently, he is on staff at Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital. He also holds the position of Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology in the Yale University School of Medicine.

Dr. Knispel’s special interests include skin cancer and pediatric dermatology. His other interests include performing cosmetic procedures such as laser surgery, Botox and injections of fillers. 

Dr. Beth A. Buscher
 

Dr. Buscher was board certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 1997. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, as well as a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and the American College of Phlebectomy.

Dr. Buscher’s interests include Botox, treatment of leg veins by laser and ambulatory phlebectomy (vein stripping), and treatment of facial wrinkles using lasers. 

Dr. Kimberly M. Eickhorst
 

Dr. Eickhorst has privileges at Danbury Hospital and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She is also a contributor to Skin & Aging: Practical and Clinical Issues in Dermatology, and recently co-authored a chapter in Textbook of Aging Skin (Springer). Her dermatologic specialties include but are not limited to: Mohs surgery with cosmetic reconstruction, surgical excisions, skin cancer treatment, medical dermatology, and cosmetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, sclerotherapy (leg vein treatments), and laser therapy for treatment of hair reduction, tattoo removal, unwanted blood vessels, and facial rejuvenation. Dr. Eickhorst strives to bring the latest medical advancements to her patients, with a thoughtful human touch, delivering the highest level of patient care possible. 

Dr. Laurence A. Sibrack


Dr. Sibrack has been on the faculty of Yale University School of Medicine since 1979 and currently is Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at Yale. He was also the President of the Association of Clinical Attendings in Dermatology at Yale.

Dr. Sibrack is the founder of Dermatology Associates of Western Connecticut, P.C. (1979). He has been the Chief of Dermatology at Danbury Hospital since 1982 and is also on the medical staff of New Milford Hospital and Yale New Haven Hospital.

Dr. Sibrack has served in a leadership capacity on local, state, and national medical organizations and has been recognized regionally, nationally and internationally for his contributions to dermatology.

In addition to Dr. Sibrack’s general dermatology interests, his special interests include second opinions on complex medical dermatological conditions, skin cancer surgery, and laser resurfacing techniques. 

Dr. Peter Heald
 

After a brief stint on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Heald began a 23-year career on the faculty of the Yale University School of Medicine where he was a Professor of Dermatology. During his Yale career, Dr. Heald was awarded the Bohmfalk Teaching prize for best teacher, Upjohn research prize for dermatology research and has been awarded numerous lectureships from Harvard to Honolulu. Internationally, he has been a visiting professor in Ankara, Moscow, Kyoto, Seoul, Pusan, Brisbane, Sydney, Auckland, Berlin, Madrid, Paris, Budapest and London. 
 
Dr. Heald frequently lectures on topics pertaining to the integration of new therapies into the treatment of skin diseases. Five of the therapies that Dr. Heald did research on reached final approval by the FDA.
Dr. Heald’s dermatologic specialties include but are not limited to: acne, skin cancers, psoriasis, lymphoma and complicated referrals in search of a diagnosis.

Dr. Heald is currently Professor Emeritus of Dermatology at Yale University and Clinical Professor of Dermatology at University of Connecticut. He is on staff at Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital. Dr. Heald was a founding member and is still on the board of directors of the International Society for Cutaneous Lymphomas. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Society for Investigative Dermatology and the New England Dermatologic Society.
